Review

This collection of short stories draws its unique title from one of the stories in the collection. Bold yet sensitively written, each story focuses on people and human relationships. As the author suggests in one of the stories, “I am writing fragments.” What the reader is presented with in this collection is a series of rich, finely crafted, occasionally disturbing fragments which delve into the darker side of the human experience. Taken together, these stories span a number of different settings and a wide range of experiences and emotions. Original and distinctive, they make for an interesting read.

The author is a well-known journalist and fiction writer. This is his second collection of short stories.
