Review

Oenophiles will welcome this thorough guide to Niagara’s wineries. No
longer playing second fiddle to the fine wines of France and California,
Niagara wines are winning awards worldwide. The wineries also happen to
be located in an area of Ontario renowned for its historic villages,
fine cuisine, arts festivals, and scenery.

Wine writer and sommelier Linda Bramble includes a list of restaurants,
events, places of interest, and things to do, as well as the wineries to
visit, in this well-organized and well-researched guide. Dwayne Coon’s
excellent photographs illustrate the region’s charms.

Each chapter deals at length with a specific area, detailing its
wineries and surrounding attractions. An easy-to-understand map shows
the location of all the wineries and how to get to them. This valuable
guide of the Niagara area will appeal to wine, food, and nature lovers.
