Review

This amazing and beautifully illustrated cookbook does exactly what it
claims: It offers a range of recipes (in six categories, from appetizers
to desserts); all of the dishes are impressive fare for guests; and all
can be made ahead of time with relative ease, eliminating the need for
last-minute fussing when the cook would prefer to spend time with the
guests. Both Imperial and metric measurements are given, and the book
concludes with a detailed and helpful index. The Everyday Gourmet is
highly recommended for anyone who likes to entertain.
