Review

Women are playing an increasingly influential role in Canadian business.
It is estimated that about one-half of new businesses are started by
women and that 17 percent of small and medium-sized businesses are owned
exclusively by women.

In addition to providing facts and figures, this book profiles more
than two-dozen entrepreneurs who operate a wide range of businesses. The
author discusses what it takes to be a successful entrepreneur, examines
its challenges and rewards, offers practical advice on starting a
business, and presents strategies for managing growth. Her book is
recommended as a starting point for women who are interested in becoming
entrepreneurs.
