Review

This book defines itself on page v: “This book explores and discusses aspects of doing business and investing in Canada from a variety of perspectives. It is a collection of relevant and useful information that any business man or investor as well as his advisors should have available in order to analyze the decision as to whether Canada is an appropriate country for business and investment resources. It is an overview of the many legal, business and tax related considerations that are basic to making any business or investment decision.” With contributions by 15 people, the book adequately covers such topics as financing, establishing a business, vendor protection, tax codes, immigration, and intellectual property. The style of writing is a bit more difficult than that used in the International Self-Counsel series (and the price is higher too!), and some of the same ground is covered. But there is an excellent index here.
