Review

This little book-and-kit combination is an excellent introduction to
environmental awareness. Designed to be used by children in the junior
grades, the kit offers a number of experiments and activities to help
children understand the problems and challenges posed by the
environmental crisis of today. The accompanying book is an excellent
resource. It is written in clear, easily understood text that does not
talk down to the intended audience. The reader is invited to be part of
the solution and is challenged to be an active participant in the
struggle to help solve the problems identified in the book. The kit
contains sufficient materials to give the user a hands-on understanding
of the issues being presented. Together, the book and kit will be a
valuable first step in developing a sense of environmental
responsibility.
