Review

Informative, educational, and delightful are words that describe these
two small but lavishly photographed book in the Nature Babies series.
The Adventures of Baby Bear introduces readers to the early life of a
bear cub, from its birth until it leaves the den. In Baby Penguin, a
young chick is taken care of by its parents. One day when its parents
disappear, the hungry bird must learn how to feed itself and survive on
its own.

The books are factual in the style of a documentary (providing
information, for example, about what these creatures eat and how fast
they grow), yet clearly relate a story that any child would enjoy and
remember. The photos of the charming babies will put a smile on any
reader’s face. Highly recommended.
