Review

Trees in Canada marks a major improvement over previous books on the
subject in terms of the approach it takes to tree identification.
User-friendly keys to the trees (which have been grouped into 12
categories) are provided, along with sets of detailed keys for species
in each group. Accompanying the species descriptions are line drawings
and color photographs. Range maps are provided for native species in
Canada and the upper United States, and there is a map of plant
hardiness zones. This book is an essential addition to the libraries of
professional foresters and naturalists.
