Review

Failure has become an increasingly prevalent theme in the titles found
in the small-business section of bookstores. The book under review
offers practical advice on how to restore to viability an enterprise
that is near bankruptcy or closing, by improving cash flow and
profitability. The information provided is based on the author’s
experience as a chartered accountant, consultant, and business operator.
The inclusion of a glossary would have facilitated the reader’s
understanding of the terminology of insolvency.

Business failure, as either decline or death, is a complex subject. The
Solvency Solution should be supplemented with other books about
turnaround or restoring solvency to a troubled business.
