Review

This tiny tome (2.5 inches by 4 inches) consists of nearly 200
quotations by Canadians who believe that they have seen UFOs, or that
they have been contacted or abducted by extraterrestrials.

In the introduction, the compiler asks, “Do UFOs . . . exist? Do
Canadian UFOs exist? Is there intelligent life in Outer Space? Is there
intelligent life in Canada?” Thus is the tone of the book set for the
reader.

It is clear that the individuals being quoted were deadly serious and
convinced when they made the statements. It is equally clear that the
book’s compiler considers the whole issue a joke. Seeing such a
collection of inanity pulled together between a set of covers, it is
difficult to imagine a reader who would not feel the same way, leaving
as the only question, “Why was this book necessary?”
