Review

The subtitle says it all. Fortunately the cynic has a sense of humor as
well as an acid tongue, and the result is a very witty read for those
with some background in business and economics. Liberally sprinkled with
apropos quotations from notables as diverse as St. Augustine and Lilly
Tomlin, the 500-plus terms and their definitions are not entirely
tongue-in-cheek. They are real euphemisms of the business world. Their
definitions are real, too, but written with such an extraordinary
combination of erudition, zaniness, and cynicism it’s hard to take
them seriously. Enjoy!
