Review

The seeds for this award-winning and internationally produced play were
planted when six women performers decided to write about their
experiences as mothers trying to maintain their careers, their
individual identities, and their relationships with their partners.
Funny, clever, poignant, and wonderfully written, the play combines
hilarious stories, bittersweet monologues, poetic reflections, and
revealing anecdotes. Each line rings true, which is hardly surprising
given that the piece is based on actual experiences.

Mom’s the Word should be required reading (or viewing) for anyone who
is a mom, has a mom, or is thinking of becoming a mom.
