Review

Pluto Rising is the first in a series of mysteries featuring retired
psychologist and self-employed astrologer Katy Klein.

The story begins with the circumstances of Katy’s Ottawa-based
astrology business, which is definitely not booming. One day a peculiar
new client, Adam, arrives. He wants Katy to read his chart but is
unwilling to talk about his past. Repelled but intrigued by Adam, Katy
investigates his past and unravels a bizarre story.

The plot is intricate and brilliantly executed; not until the end is
the reader certain of the solution. The likable Katy is joined by a cast
of fully realized characters, including her teenage daughter, her
journalist ex-husband, one old boyfriend and one potentially new one.
Readers are sure to look forward to Katy’s next appearance.
