Review

This kid-friendly cookbook is a must-have in every family kitchen. The
book starts off with finger foods for babies and moves through sections
on toddlers, puberty, teens, high-school years, and much more. The
recipes are delicious and simple (calling for basic ingredients), and
many can also be used as appetizers and main courses for adult dinner
parties.

From healthy snack ideas such as zucchini muffins and carrot cake to a
no-fail big chocolate cake recipe, this cookbook has it all. Especially
impressive is the variety of recipes from around the globe—Italian
lasagna, Greek moussaka, Chinese fondue, Vietnamese spring rolls, and
Thai-style mussels, to name just a few. The baking project section
divides the recipes into two parts: the wet person, who mixes the wet
ingredients, and the dry person, who mixes the dry ingredients. The book
also includes amazing picnic ideas (not only what to eat but where to
eat) and craft ideas such as birthday party loot bags. The chapter
titled “Snacks You Can Make While Talking on the Telephone” is sure
to be a favorite with teens.
