Review

Cartoons, photos, quotes, trivia, jokes, lists, terminology, equipment
guides—all this and recipes too. Everything espresso, cappuccino,
latte, mochaccino, and coffee aficionados could possibly want to know.

The book is a field guide to the coffee revolution. Specialty blends,
ever more exotic layered drinks, “extreme” coffee—it’s all here,
well hidden by a dreadful page design and a poor choice of type font
printed in red ink, which is painful to read.

Readers should skim the book for the cartoons, then move directly to
the index to locate any recipes that sound tempting—for here is visual
relief. The recipe section is nicely presented, actually easy to read.
And the choices are stunning—everything you’ll find at the trendiest
coffee bar, including lots of iced drinks, syrups, and toppings.

Cappuccino Cocktails is recommended only for those who take their
coffee really seriously.
