Review

Here is a book for the hockey aficionado or the person who phones sports
talk shows or even for the hosts of such programs. It contains a
complete rundown of hockey players, with a profile per page for every
puck chaser and team in the entire NHL. Want to know how many games
Grant Ledyard of the Dallas Stars missed last year? You can find it
here. You can also get his career stats, comments on his finesse game,
comments on his physical game, and finally, certain “intangibles” as
well as his favored shooting angle. Concise, and with a picture to boot.
Teams are listed alphabetically and, of course, they have their own
statistics. While not exactly a piece of page-turning enchantment, this
ninth edition will settle a lot of bets and win some trivia contests.
