Review

More Island Adventures, like its companion volume Island Adventures,
acquaints the outdoor-minded with the many backroad locales for camping,
canoeing, or fishing on Vancouver Island. The guide offers practical,
up-to-date information on access to 30 different outdoor sites. Though
Blier’s description of each site is limited, he offers a plethora of
opportunities and suggestions for new locales to visit from Victoria to
Cape Scott. He also recommends that because of the ruggedness and
unpredictability of the terrain, more detailed road and topographical
maps should be consulted from provincial government and logging company
sources.

With ever-increasing pressures on popular parks and camping areas,
outdoor enthusiasts on the lookout for places to visit on the Island
that are off the beaten track will do well to add this travel guide to
their collection.
