Review
In this outstanding book, Wayne Lynch serves up a delightful smorgasbord
of impressions, experiences, and photographs from his time in the North.
He clearly has a deep understanding of flora and fauna, physiology,
genetics, and behavior, as well as a sensitivity to the special delights
of remote places. The text is divided into sections that are arranged by
letter of the alphabet. Biological accounts, anecdotes, vignettes, and
condensations of interesting scientific studies are accompanied by
glorious original photographs. The book’s impressively broad range of
topics, from Amphipods to Zoophiliac, is complemented by excellent
production standards.
