Review

An unusual book, this one, in that it is a combination log book and practical guide. It is organized roughly by families (Billfishes, Flounders, etc.) and by species within families. Each entry has a line drawing of the species and a small inset map showing the range of the fish. Behaviour, size, habitat, and angling methods are then outlined, followed by a chart to be completed by the successful fisherman. The information provided is generally accurate and, while prepared for the layman, is relatively scientific. In all, then, a useful item for the beginning saltwater fisherman.
