Review

First issued in 1979 as The Used Car Believer’s Handbook, this revised edition has been updated to reflect current facts and figures. Covered, in an upbeat writing style, are such important topics as where to go to buy a used car, how to use a 13-point system for checking it out, getting to know your car (especially for mufflers, rust, the engine), and how to find a good mechanic. After that come ideas on how to maintain the car and how to be your own mechanic. And then that moment: how to unload the beast (privately).
