Review

Forty-four million families can’t be wrong; cats make wonderfully lovable pets. Almost all kids love cats and want to know all about them — their fascinating family tree, their care and feeding, the training of cats (not that you can make them do anything they don’t want to do), “cat language,” and much more. Light and informative, this junior-level informational text, in the popular OWL Magazine format, is lightened by coloured illustrations and anecdotes of cats culled from both history and fiction, cat trivia, quizzes, and cartoons. Not a reference work, just attractive educational fun.
