Review
These sturdy fibreboard books are just the right size for a small child to carry about easily. The books unfold into eight panels to reveal a delightful mural-type picture on one side and, on the reverse, twelve words with appropriate illustrations. Though these words were chosen as appropriate for a child’s growing vocabulary, I felt a better selection could have been made. The pictures are whimsical and amusing in lovely colours and a child should thoroughly enjoy them. Those books, which unfold from left to right, are fairly manageable although when opened to their fullest would need to be on a flat surface for a small child to look at the whole picture. Those that unfold from top to bottom would be difficult for a small child to manage and definitely would need to be laid flat so a child could see the whole thing. These books would amuse and entertain a child. They will also intrigue a fond aunt or grandparent looking for a new and unusual gift idea for a favourite child.
