Review
A project that includes as participants both H.R.H. The Princess of Wales and Wayne & Schuster, to name but three out of a lengthy roster of famous names, must be both interesting and worthy of support. Celebrity All-Occasion Cooking is a handsome fundraising project for a non-profit organization, featuring pet recipes contributed by luminaries such as those mentioned above, and many more.
The recipes are relatively uncomplicated yet most inviting, and certainly not beyond the capabilities of the inexperienced chef. Some are accompanied by a photograph of the contributor, so the pages are dotted with familiar faces (Elizabeth Taylor, Wayne Gretzky, Julie Andrews, Jean Stapleton and others). The recipes are listed under the headings Appetizers, Soups and Salads, Entrees, Poultry, Seafood, Vegetables, Suppers and Luncheons, Desserts and Baking. Both metric and imperial measurements are provided. There are a few lusciously coloured photographs of the dishes described, and a full index plus forms for ordering additional copies and for consumer input.
