Each of these little books provides some useful data for would-be publishers and other information handlers. The first book is for self-publishers, mainly those who want to put out pamphlets (such as this pamphlet itself). Bailey discusses setting up a company, obtaining an ISBN, doing market research, typesetting, tax exemptions, layout, copyright, and promotion. Bailey himself describes the second book here as “a number of helpful suggestions for individuals who deal with the news media.” This includes how to handle reporters, how to prepare news releases, and how to schedule a news conference. Also included is a series of “dos and don’ts” tips.
