Review

This is a straightforward, enumerative bibliography (no annotations) of published sources and commentaries, with parameters of country (Canada), chronology (historical record), and subject matter (medicine). Its format has been derived from the U.S. National Library of Medicine, and the material (about 3,500 citations) has been categorized into biographical entries, subject entries, and author entries. There is also a database that is fully searchable at McMaster University, entitled “History of Medicine Datasearch” (there is a ten dollar charge for each search). For each entry, Roland gives the normal author-title-source-pagination-date information.
