Canadian Books in Print: Author and Title Index, 1983/84

This well-established annual bibliographic listing of all Canadian books available for sale in Canada is a boon to the harried bookseller and to the frustrated librarian, both of whom need data about a particular book’s availability. These two indexes were last reviewed in CBRA 1983 (entry 1004), and there has been little change in the format. There are over 25,000 subject index entries of all kinds, which reflects the varied nature of Canadian publishing. The only criticism I can make about CBIP is that it seems to be coming out later and later as the years go by. And that is unfortunate since we need faster and faster data these days. When will CBIP go on-line?
