Review

This pocket-sized and very sturdy little tool is of great use to police officers (the title page notes “the companion volume to the police officers manual”). To the rest of us it is known as an “Office Consolidation,” with extensive indexes and clauses from other statutes (e.g., the Canadian Bill of Rights, Combines Investigation Act, Constitution Act 1982, Criminal Records Act, Extradition Act, Food and Drug Act, Identification of Criminals Act, Narcotic Control Act, Young Offenders Act). Several forms are included for sampling, but there is little explanation of what these statutes all mean and how they can be used. Nevertheless, the work is valuable for collating all the necessary materials into one handy package, with various cross references throughout to pull it all together.
