Review

These papers were drawn from a conference held in Ottawa from May 31 to June 2, 1984; they examine the evolution of parliamentary involvement in foreign affairs and in policy deliberations. They also serve as a guide to the past and indicate reforms needed for the future. The seven contributors collectively look at Parliament’s Foreign Policy Committees (both the Commons’ and the Senates) and examine two case studies: Maritime defence and the People’s Republic of China.
