Review

The first edition of this book, which covered through 1981, was favourably reviewed in CBRA 1981, item 4041. In the updated edition, the authors describe 495 Canadian ships, each with a photograph. The work is divided into three sections: 1910-1939, 1939-1945, and 1945-1985. There are five useful appendices: World War II operational status charts, a list of commanding officers, a career history, a list of convoys and specialized assignments, and the ships’ particulars (charts of builders, specifications, launching, and so forth).
