Review

This engineer/writer/teacher has produced a useful aid to learning how to avoid writing problems. It is aimed at management, at professionals whose first language is not English, and at all business writers who are not getting through to readers.

Some techniques covered include: limiting vocabulary, putting words nearest to their modifiers, making clauses shorter, using time flow to construct sentences and paragraphs.

Exercises with model answers and formats help the learner produce better memos, letters, reports, and other office-written communications.
