Review

This book, in the Annick Toddler Series, is definitely different. Presumably its aim is to encourage small children to use the toilet. In a series of entertaining illustrations and texts, the author demonstrates why various kinds of animals should not use toilets. From the chicken (who would think it a nest and sit there for three days waiting for something to hatch) to a fish (who would want to live in the toilet bowl), these little vignettes are charming despite the offbeat subject matter.
