Review

It’s a wonder Bram, who seems to be about two years old, isn’t just worn out, his nights are so full of activity. You see, there’s a crack in his ceiling, which is really a door, and every night, a funny little old man peeks out — and then the fun begins. There follows a tiny child’s fantasy of friendly animals, jolly witches, parties, and excitement — interrupted by the odd horrible, threatening monster. Bram wakes up long enough to call for his Mom, and, safe on her lap, he tames the nighttime monster into becoming another friend. At last it’s time to wake up. Hungry. A good bedtime tale to help put shadowy nighttime fears into sunny daylight perspective.
