Review

Like its predecessors, the 1998 Who’s Who in Canadian Business
provides a wealth of biographical information about Canada’s business
leaders. The book, which characterizes itself as “Canada’s only
comprehensive and independent biographical reference work for the
business community,” presents through its biographies a profile of the
business world that will prove valuable to the sociologist and the
business historian alike. Also useful are the biographical sketches of
the members of the Junior Achievement Canadian Business Hall of Fame,
the Canadian Performance 500 (a listing of the 500 largest companies in
Canada), and Profit 100 (a compilation of the 100 fastest-growing
companies in Canada).

The book is also available on CD-ROM, a format that will facilitate
searching and comparative analyses of the data sources.
