Review
Designed to facilitate research and discussion, Effects of Location is a concise working paper based on the results of a large-scale, government-funded study. An outline of the scope, objectives, setting, and methods of data evaluation in the study is followed by analysis of “Representative Mine Development Cases,” “Regional Economic Consequences,” “Effects of Taxation Among Provinces” and “Combined Impact of Regional Conditions and Economic Policies.” Suggestions for future research studies are included. Authorities on mineral exploration and development, the authors are associated with the Centre for Resource Studies.
