Review

Aimed at student or resident physicians, this lucidly written book
offers practical advice on making the most of the residency experience.
It discusses criteria for choosing a residency and questions to ask when
being interviewed; offers tips on managing stress, workload, family
life, and personal health; and includes a very through index. Aspects of
the layout (e.g., position of tables) make the reading experience a
little difficult. While the book does not address possible reforms to
the residency experience, it does provide physicians about to enter
residency with some invaluable information.
