Review

The title says itall; if you’ve ever heard Nancy White do her stuff you need no further information; if not (poor you), realize that print, though still very amusing, is but a pale shadow of the work of one of the cleverest literary ladies in Canada. She is dazzlingly witty, makes political points with the finesse of a D’Artagnan, and seems absolutely never to be at a loss for le mot juste. Dennis McDermott retires as head of the CLC to become ambassador to Ireland; John Turner just can’t seem to keep his hands to himself; Brian Mulroney tells the heartrending tale of his humble beginnings; the U.S.A. protects its citizenry by refusing the dangerous Farley Mowat admission — Nancy is more than equal to the task of setting such deathless moments to music. Read ‘em and weep — with laughter. Includes index and discography.
