Review

Retired Canadians with business and technical skills, spare time, and a
sense of adventure are asked by the Canadian Executive Service
Organization (CESO) to provide help and advice wherever in the world it
is needed. No megaprojects here, just individuals helping individuals
and making a real difference. Sharing a Lifetime of Experience recounts
the adventures and successes of dozens of CESO volunteers in dozens of
countries.

The book is divided into sections covering women in development, work
in the Third World, Canadian Native communities, and the countries
behind the former Iron Curtain.

Originally, CESO worked exclusively overseas but recently expanded its
mandate to include Canadian Native communities. The organization, which
was founded in 1967, has the names of 4400 volunteers on its roster.

Sharing a Lifetime of Experience is recommended for all public
libraries.
