Review

Featuring eye-catching photographs, these volumes were designed as
inexpensive pictorial souvenirs of the Canadian Rockies. A Pictorial
Book contains 45 high-quality photographs of the most popular tourist
attractions between Waterton and Jasper, as well as some general
descriptive text. The 64-page A Photographic Portrait is more
substantial. The photos depict landscapes, plants, animals and the like,
while the text provides such information as details, place-name origins,
and natural history facts. For the tourist, these books represent good
value. Recommended for home purchase and for libraries with collections
relating to the Rockies or the mountain National Parks.
