Review

Expecting a new baby? Small children will need to share Mommy and Daddy
with a new baby, and this delightful boardbook charmingly explores how
an “older sibling” can do that. For example, instead of
“sharing” with the new baby, the youngster can “show” the new
baby how to play “This little piggy...,” peek-a-boo, even
hide-and-seek.

Sharon Jennings’s text is simple, yet meaningful, and emphasizes how
to make the experience of a new baby positive for the preschooler
sibling. Joanne Fitzgerald’s warm illustrations show the toddler
“sharing” with the new baby in several scenes. Highly recommended.
