Review

Simon’s and Sam’s summer vacation is turning out to be a boring one,
until a movie starring Sam’s favorite television star, Barry Adams,
starts filming right in their own neighborhood! Suddenly the boys are
hired as extras and find themselves meeting their film hero. The boys
soon learn that even a child star wants to act like a normal kid. In no
time at all, Barry joins their Secret Bat Club, and the adventures start
rolling—not just the film.

This First Flight Chapter Book has all the ingredients for a beginning
reader—a simple, easy-to-read text, amusing illustrations, excitement,
and mystery. Bats Out the Window is a whole lot of fun. Recommended.
