Review

One little puppy naps on a lap. Another decides to chase a bumblebee.
Soon the rest of the puppies are chasing the bee and getting into
trouble along the way. Then, with bees flying everywhere and darkness
approaching, 10 frightened puppies scurry back home to rest, so that
they can do it all again.

The catchy, rhyming text in this counting book flows smoothly and
rhythmically, making a song out of counting from one to 10 and back. The
lack of bright, sharp, color illustrations, however, may make it
difficult to hold the attention of a very young child. Recommended with
reservations.
