Review
Ben is a preschooler who wants to receive a report card on Fridays, just
like his two older siblings. In fact, Ben feels rather inadequate in
that he cannot do wonderful things like his sister and brother. But
wait! A surprise rescue by his brother Joe and sister Robin saves the
day.
Kim LaFave’s simple but colorful illustrations enable the young
reader to focus on changing facial expressions, which on their own could
tell this story. These illustrations combined with Sarah Ellis’s
delightful text provide the reader with an uncluttered picture book and
a very neat little story. Highly recommended.
