Review

This introduction to the story of water includes science experiments,
activities, games, and fun suggestions for 8- to 12-year-olds. The book
covers water as a substance and water in living things; water in the
form of rivers, lakes, and oceans; water as it moves in the sky and
underground; and water shortages and pollution. All the activities have
been tested by children—games deemed boring were eliminated; those
that were included are clearly described. There is plenty of material
here for a classroom unit or for individual use.

The Amazing Water Book is well designed, interesting, and informative.
Other titles in this well-produced series include The Amazing Milk Book,
The Amazing Dirt Book, The Amazing Apple Book, and The Amazing Paper
Book. Highly recommended.
