Review

The word “wetlands” entered adult vocabularies in the last decade.
There is no better way to establish it in the vocabularies and minds of
future generations than this clear and attractive large-format
paperback.

Suggested for ages 8 to 12, Wetlands introduces the reader to
fascinating worlds where land and water meet, and to their unique
ecosystems. It carries the approval of the Federation of Ontario
Naturalists (FON), a nonprofit environmental organization committed to
protecting important natural habitats and endangered species. Profits
from the sale of the book benefit the Environmental Education Programme
of the FON.

A practical approach, clear and compact text, attractive layout, and a
great many illustrations make this an excellent book to interest young
readers in environmental protection and the world around them. Highly
recommended.
