Review

Thirty poisonous creatures from around the world are described in this
research booklet for children. Each creature has been allotted one page
of information. Stickers on separate pages have been numbered to
correspond with each animal’s page. The child can identify the correct
sticker by the page number and apply it to the “frame” at the top of
each page. Small black-and-white drawings also illustrate the text. To
promote interest in poisonous creatures (and animals in general), the
book gives an overview of the most exotic, deadly, and
attention-catching animals, including such favorites as the cobra and
scorpion, but also many lesser-known creatures.

This carefully assembled introduction to poisonous creatures will
motivate students to consult further sources on the subject.
Recommended.
