Review

In this revised and updated edition, medico-legal expert Lorne Rozovsky
describes in individual chapters patients’ rights as they relate to
specific areas of health care, including AIDS, circumcision, euthanasia
(there are references to the Sue Rodriguez case), and medical records. A
brief summary of principles is given at the end of each chapter. The
volume’s strength is not in resolving particular breaches of
patients’ rights, but rather in alerting people to areas in which
rights-related questions may arise. In short, it is a book that you
should read before you see your doctor or make use of the health-care
system.
