Review

This popular biography of Canadian country music star Shania Twain packs
an amazing amount of information into its slim format. It chronicles her
life and developing career as a songwriter and entertainer from her
birth in 1965 to her 40th year with sympathy and humour. Numerous
quotations from the artist herself show her human and vulnerable side as
well as her determination to succeed on the international stage. The
comprehensive list of her awards and discography speak for themselves.
Fans will also find highlighted “Shania Fan Facts” scattered
liberally throughout the book, black-and-white illustrations of
publicity photographs, and other sources of information about the
superstar in books and websites.
