Review

This book of cartoons by Toronto Sun cartoonist Andy Donato should have
the nostalgia market all sewn up. There are many, no doubt, who still
have a few things that they forgot to say to, or about, Brian Mulroney
and his Tory government. Merely mentioning the GST or constitutional
reform should rouse this latent invective in many people. This
collection is also a must-have for all Tories, with its reminders of
happier times. Also coming in for scrutiny are prominent non-Tories like
Bob Rae, Boris Yeltsin, Ted Turner, and Jane Fonda.

Many of the cartoons that cover issues seem dated and irrelevant, even
though most were drawn during the last year or so. A year in politics is
a very long time, especially if you are a federal Tory.

In any event, this book is an amusing way to recall what had us
worried—and indignant—in 1992–93.
