Review

This anthology of 20 stories and one play is intended to reflect the
diversity of concerns and literary styles of writers in south-central
Ontario. Established writers appear alongside those publishing fiction
for the first time. There are tales of betrayal and compassion,
brutality and innocence, humanity and dignity. The work is communicated
with insight, humor, and, at times, inspiration. It is the ability of
the contributors to look life unflinchingly in the eye that gives this
anthology its focus, over and above the geographical bond.
