Bake chocolate chip cookies on your barbecue? Yes, says Robitaille, and
also quiche, lasagne, and cheesecake, among other indoor kitchen
favorites. This collection of over 90 recipes demonstrates that a
covered barbecue is a very versatile appliance, capable of turning out
much more than steaks and hot dogs. In addition, it imparts its own
distinctive flavor to the foods, is more comfortable to use on a warm
day than the indoor oven, and is easier to clean. Even if you remain
unconvinced, you can still use this cookbook. All of the recipes can be
prepared using a conventional stove top, broiler, or oven. They include
a good selection of familiar entrées, vegetable dishes, baked goods,
and desserts. Both metric and imperial measures are provided, but
recipes have been tested only with the imperial measures. Yields range
from two to six servings. The book is spiral-bound to lie open, and
includes an index by recipe title and type of food.
